South Sydney High School offers a variety of different facilities to meet the need of students. These facilities include:

• Pottery area and kilns.
• Two photography darkrooms.
• Visual Arts Mini-Lab.
• An Industrial Arts Building containing fully equipped wood, metal, electronics and technical drawing rooms plus computer mini labs.
• An indoor gymnasium with state of the art electronic scoring system. It also contains an Olympic sized basketball and volleyball courts.
• Canteen facilities.
• A library with an extensive collection of fiction and reference books. Private study rooms, Internet facilities and video rooms are also available.
• Senior study.
• Two fully equipped music rooms.
• A hall capable of seating approximately four hundred with specialised stage lighting, and audio facilities.
• Three computer rooms all of which enable Internet access.
• Specialist rooms for English/history, geography, mathematics, language and remedial classes.
