The experienced and highly qualified staff of the science faculty bring enthusiasm, dedication and a wealth of knowledge to their subject area. The faculty offers students the opportunity to study junior science in years 7 – 10 and Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Senior Science in years 11 and 12. Our teaching practice aims to engage the students in meaningful learning. Our success is measured by our ongoing successes in the School Certificate and the Higher School certificate. The science courses allow students to experience a wide range of activities and to develop those technologies and skills associated with research and scientific method. We encourage all students to reflect, understand and relate to the links between science and the physical world and to appreciate the fragile environment. Extension classes cater for the talented science students who are also encouraged to enter various science competitions.
